There are things we can do to help slow the onset of arthritis in our pets. In general, this includes anything to relieve the stress on their joints. Help your pet lose excess weight to reduce the surplus baggage they have to carry. Avoid repetitive motions and choose low-impact activities, such as walking instead of jogging; several shorter walks are better than one long one. Swimming provides exercise without stressing the joints excessively.
